What disconnection means
- Future QuickBooks reads, synchronization, and enabled accounting actions stop for the disconnected company.
- Other Prairie organizations, Deals, legal entities, customers, vendors, or QuickBooks companies are not automatically affected.
- Previously imported reports, mappings, approvals, transaction links, and audit evidence may remain available when required for accounting, security, legal, contractual, or recordkeeping purposes.
- If a QuickBooks transaction had an uncertain result before disconnection, Prairie may retain it for reconciliation rather than assume the transaction failed or create a duplicate.
Restoring QuickBooks access
Once a connection is fully disconnected, it is not re-authorized in place. An authorized Prairie accounting user signs in and completes guided setup to establish a new connection: select the applicable legal entity, authorize the exact QuickBooks company with Intuit, and confirm that company before reads begin.
Authorizing one QuickBooks company does not authorize any other company or expand the Prairie scope of the connection. Prairie confirms the company on every new authorization.
A connection that is not fully disconnected — for example, one that only needs renewed Intuit authorization — can be re-authorized from the connections screen instead.
For what Prairie accesses, sends, and retains for a connected QuickBooks company, see the QuickBooks Online Integration disclosure.
